As with most technology, the software that makes these printers work needs to be installed in your computer prior to use.  It does require some computer knowledge eg: what a driver is, what a folder is or in some instances how to copy and paste a link.  If you have limited computer knowledge it may be beneficial to have someone you know read over the install instructions with you.

Following purchase, you will receive a link to download drivers/instructions for Win & Mac. If you have purchased from us before, then click this link.

The Zebra GK420E is an economical thermal printer that will work with the leading courier companies in NZ (we've tried, tested and use this printer ourselves). Trademe, Courier Post, NZ Couriers, Fastway, Toll, Mainstream, Post Haste, eparcel, parcelwings, eship and many more. (BSS portal: we have noticed the BSS portal does not generate label printing size files - and so is not compatible with this printer)

Included in this pack:

  • 1x Zebra GK420E Printer (USB & Ethernet connectivity)
  • Please note this printer is the USB & ethernet model and does not have wifi or bluetooth.

Don't forget to add labels for your new printer:

    • For standard labels please click here
    • For compostable labels please click here

r3pack will support this printer if purchased from us. If you need further help/support, then please install teamviewer from teamviewer.com (standard install, free/non commercial version), and email us to schedule support session.

If you are generating a PDF label and printing - then it will work easily. For those using integrated options from NZCouriers/ParcelWings or similar and if you want to connect so it prints automatically - please refer to your account managers/support at the respective companies for assistance.

    Commonly Asked questions:

I'm really bad with technology, can I still use this printer?

Network printers require some basic netowrking knowledge, such as being able to locate devices on your network (find their IP address). We have sold plenty of these printers and most people can use the instructions to set up the printer.  Follow each step and do not skip any of them. We offer one free tech support call and there after $50 flat fee per session (this is not our charge but outsourced to an IT company).

What is the difference between this one and the $300 usb printer?
Choose the other USB only printer if your computer and printer are next to each other on your packing bench as it is connected via USB.  This ethernet printer is for those who have many people using the same printer or your computer and printer are in different locations and you want to connect by ethernet to your network.
